Self Care: Juice to give yourself an immunity BOOST

Our bodies are working for us each second of the day. So, it's important to do things to meet our bodies half way! One easy way to help your body help you is to JUICE.


I have been juicing for years, but I really ramped it up this month and I have to admit, I feel the boost.


I haven't felt tired or groggy during the day. Juicing has definitely been a mood booster for me and each time I take a sip, I feel so proud and energized knowing that I made it myself!


Once you get past making the decision to buy the juicer, you are ALL SET! I promise, you won't regret it!


This Immune Boosting juice is a delicious blend of celery, cucumber, carrot, apple and ginger. It's such a refreshing, summery drink! I made it and went and sat by the pool.


Here's a how-to video + the benefits of juicing in 5 minutes:




Ingredients:

Serving size: 48 oz

  • 10 large organic carrots

  • 6 large Gala apple, cored and cut into wedges

  • 1/2 large organic cucumber

  • 1-3 organic celery ribs

  • 2-inch piece of organic ginger, peeled


Optional: 1/2 large organic lemon, peeled + 2-inch piece of organic turmeric, peeled









HOW TO MAKE CARROT JUICE

You’ll need a juicer to make this recipe or a high speed blender and nut milk bag to strain with.

  1. Rinse – Rinse your produce under cold water

  2. Press – Press the ingredients one at a time through the juicer

  3. Stir – After you’ve juiced all of the ingredients stir the mixture

I bought the perfect little glass jars for $14 to hold my juice from Amazon. I make juice for about 3 days at one time. This cuts down on cleaning time!
